Hong Kong, 28 June 2007 – From 1 July to 2 September, every corner of Ocean Park will be soaked up with Wet ‘n Wild Panda Mania, this summer’s hottest party, brought to you by our team of fun professionals at Ocean Park. In addition to the chance to see young pandas Ying Ying and Le Le for the first time at the renovated Giant Panda Habitat, guests can check out over 13 brand-new panda-themed Summer Splash attractions at Tai Shue Wan Plaza, accompanied by a sizzling line-up of local and international performers and musicians.

Highlights include the original musical production, Panda Extravaganza – presented by Living Appliances, and Panda’s Wet & Wild Party – presented by Official Telecom Operator PCCW Limited, featuring water games, foam parties, giant water slides and more, all specially designed and custom built to world-class standards.

For the ultimate encounter with giant pandas Ying Ying, Le Le, An An and Jia Jia, the Breakfast with Giant Pandas package and the Honorary Giant Panda Keeper animal husbandry programme will be introduced this summer. In addition to a chance to visit the pandas, guests will learn about these fascinating animals from the professional panda keepers, who will share their experience and insight from caring for the pandas every day since they arrived in Hong Kong.

“Ocean Park Wet ‘n Wild Panda Mania is unlike anything you’ve seen anywhere else; all the attractions and ideas are 100% Ocean Park, and that’s something we’re very proud of,” says Mr. Paul Pei, Executive Director, Sales and Marketing, of Ocean Park, “We’re so excited about the public debut of Ying Ying and Le Le, who will be joining An An and Jia Jia as our newest animal conservation ambassadors, and there’s so much to do and see for everyone at Ocean Park throughout the whole summer. Kids will love the water games and rides, and kids-at-heart can party into the night at our Saturday Night Carnival!”

At Panda’s Wet & Wild Party – presented by Official Telecom Operator PCCW Limited, guests can have a blast at Rise ‘n Slide, Bambooistic Foam Party, H²O Maze, Blast Ball Challenge, or venture into the action-packed Panda’s Paradise Lost. More must-see photo spots include the Wonder Fountain, and the whimsical House of Panda.

Wild Shows will provide the soundtrack to Ocean Park Wet ‘n Wild Panda Mania. In addition to the Sichuan Masters performances, the eco-stars from Funky Junk will be jamming throughout the park with instruments made from recycled material.

Over 300 fantastic new panda retail items will be unveiled, along with a spicy selection of Sichuan delicacies, to celebrate Panda Mania.
