How to Apply

Local School Education Programmes

Ocean Park Academy Hong Kong (OPAHK) programmes are available from Mondays to Saturdays, from 1 September 2019 to 31 August 2020.“Whiskers & Friends” Reading Day and “Whiskers & Friends” Reading Carnival are available from Mondays to Fridays, except public holidays.
 
Applications for 1 September 2019 to 30 June 2020 begin at 12 noon on 14 August 2019. For programmes in July and August 2020, applications begin at 12 noon on 2 March 2020.
 
All applications are considered on a first come, first served basis. You are strongly recommended to submit your application at least 3 months prior to your proposed visiting date.

  1. Application forms can be downloaded from our website and submitted by fax to 2518 8665.
  2. Each programme has a minimum intake and maximum capacity. Please refer to corresponding webpages for details of the capacity for your preferred programme.
  3. Schools are required to choose at least one programme theme for each student.
  4. Applicants will be notified of the application result and receive the Payment Notice within 7 working days upon our receipt of the duly completed application form. Please contact our staff at 3923 2323 (select the language and press [4]) if you do not receive any notification.

    ​​a. By Credit Card: Please provide credit card details in the Payment Notice and return it by fax to OPAHK.
    b. By Cash: Please deposit your fee to The Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation account (No.: 002-523165-001) and return the pay-in-slip and Payment Notice by fax to OPAHK. The original pay-in-slip must be presented on the visiting day.
    c. By Cheque: Please deposit the crossed cheque payable to “Ocean Park Corporation” to the aforementioned account and return the pay-in-slip and Payment Notice by fax to OPAHK. The original pay-in-slip must be presented on the visiting day.
  6. The payment must be settled on or before the payment due date upon receipt of the Payment Notice.
  7. The Confirmation Letter will be sent to the school by email or fax after the payment is duly received and confirmed by OPAHK. The receipt will be issued on the visiting day for collection.

Terms & Conditions

  1. The programme is only available for schools classified under the school level of Education Bureau of the HKSAR as “kindergartens”, “primary schools” or “secondary schools” (including special schools among these school levels), and not available for schools classified as “others” by the same Bureau.
  2. Participants of the programmes must be the registered students at the school listed on the application form.
  3. All programmes are conducted in Cantonese or English. Special requests for Putonghua should be made in advance on the application form.
  4. Participants of the Teacher Day Camp must be teachers of the schools classified under the aforementioned school levels.
  5. If the payment cannot be settled before the payment due date or if the application is not duly completed, OPAHK reserves the right to cancel the application.
  6. Tickets can only be used on the date of validation. No refund or rescheduling will be made after confirmation.
  7. Participants must be punctual in arriving at the designated gathering locations or exhibits. Latecomers will not be admitted and the programme cannot not be extended beyond the scheduled time.
  8. No food and beverages are to be taken into the Park.
  9. Baggage or bulky item over the size of 56cm x 36cm x 23cm is not allowed in any attraction or exhibit inside Ocean Park. You may deposit it at our Baggage Rental Counter (next to the Stroller and Wheelchair Rental in Aqua City, The Waterfront).
  10. All photos and videos taken at Ocean Park are not allowed for commercial use without prior approval from Ocean Park Corporation. Admission to the Park signifies your permission and agreement for Ocean Park to take and use your photographs or images for educational and promotional purposes.
  11. Applicants are not allowed to advertise in the name of "Ocean Park Corporation" or "Ocean Park Academy Hong Kong" without prior approval from Ocean Park Corporation.
  12. Students participating designated programmes might need to take the Ocean Express to the gathering locations or exhibits.
  13. In the event of the following situations occur, OPAHK will reschedule the visits for the affected school to a new date within 1 month of the day affected:
    • The Hong Kong Observatory issues a Red or Black Rainstorm Warning Signals, or;
    • The Hong Kong Observatory issues Tropical Cyclone Warning Signals Number 3 or above, or;
    • The Education Bureau announces class suspension of all schools.
  14. Programmes and dates are subject to change or cancellation due to animal and weather conditions. Animal demonstrations may be cancelled due to adverse weather. Programme content may be subject to change without prior notice.
  15. When the Hong Kong Observatory issues an Amber Rainstorm Warning Signals, animal demonstrations in specific programmes are subject to change or cancellation, the programmes include Dolphin Tracking Trilogy, Sea Lion’s Got Talent, Insightful Journey with Dolphins, Coastal Explorers and Workplace Visits to Ocean Park (Marine Mammal Training and Husbandry).
  16. Ocean Park may suspend the operation and/or close any facilities for renovation work.
  17. All guests must comply with Ocean Park bylaws, safety rules, and the Park’s Rules and Regulations which are available at the entrances and/or other appropriate locations throughout Ocean Park. Ocean Park shall be under no liability or responsibility for any loss of any kind or any damage to any property of any person in the Park.
  18. OPAHK has the final decision on the application procedure and approval.

Charitable Organisations Education Programmes

Ocean Park Academy Hong Kong (OPAHK) charitable organisations education programmes are available from Mondays to Saturdays, from 1 September 2019 to 31 August 2020, except public holidays.
 
Applications for programmes from 1 September 2019 to 30 June 2020 begin at 12 noon on 14 August 2019. For programmes in July and August 2020, applications begin at 12 noon on 2 March 2020.
