Celebrities Donning Custom-created Neon Looks Join Fluorescent Warriors In Mong Kok Streets for Neon Battle Engaging Passers-by in Flash Mob Dance Event

2013-07-07

(7 July 2013 – Hong Kong) Neon Splash! – Hong Kong’s first large-scale indoor water gun battle, featuring the trendiest fluorescent colours, has quickly become the most popular attraction at this year’s Summer Splash. The fluorescent frenzy has even spilled outside Ocean Park into Mong Kok, resulting in Hong Kong’s first-ever open-street neon battle. Hipster Karl specially designed neon looks for celebrities guests Tracy Ip, Nathan Ngai and himself. The three joined Fluorescent Warriors, a group of dancers from Ocean Park, in striking the coolest moves and poses for a most festive and dynamic public scene.

Tracy Ip recommended Ocean Park’s indoor water gun battle for this summer because she loves water activities but is concerned about getting tanned. A big fan of Ocean Park for being trendsetting and creative, image consultant Karl thinks the Park’s new series of fluorescent merchandise will be this summer’s hottest items. The sports and dance loving Nathan Ngai is crazy about the over one hundred dance performances and the soon-to-be staged world-class gravity-defying dance show at Summer Splash.

From now till 25 August, Ocean Park’s Summer Splash is ready to mingle with guests of all ages; many adrenaline relishing activities provide you and your family to enjoy your summer to the fullest. The first large indoor fluorescent-themed Neon Splash! in Hong Kong makes Ocean Park the place to go this summer. You can engage in the world of wet and wild thrills or start a battle with your friends in the mystic fluorescent world to cool off your summer heat. Kick off with a ride down the giant Crazy Water Slide at Aqua Battle Zone which stands 8 meters tall, with a height equivalent to a three-storey building. Guests of all ages can engage in the wet and wild Water War and shoot water bombs at pre-set targets. From 13 July, the curtains drop for The Aerial Spectacular. This amazing show will take place in a three-dimensional space where eight world-class dancers will turn the space upside down by suspending themselves in the air and performing a series of jaw dropping dance acts and stunts.

Summer Splash this year will open until late on certain days to enable the public to make the most of summertime. On all Saturdays and Sundays from 20 July to 25 August, the park will open until 10pm and visitors who arrive at or after 5pm can enter with a Summer Night Admission Ticket (adults: $160; children: $80). Each Night Ticket on 20, 21, 27 and 28 July comes with discount coupons worth HKD180 for in-park spending.
