Kindergarten Teacher Training Programme
OPAHK offers themed in-park teacher training programmes, enabling teachers to master Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) through experiential learning, seamlessly integrating environmental education into school curricula. This training programme may also be counted towards continuing professional development hours.
Sensory Discovery Journey
Hands-on experience with in-park teaching designs and activity flows, understanding the application of experiential learning and five-sense exploration at Ocean Park, inspiring teachers to apply these methods in daily classroom activities
Visit Grand Aquarium and Amazing Asian Animals to deepen teachers’ knowledge of animals in the Park and environmental education elements, supporting stronger integration of environmental education and ESD into school-based curricula
Programme Format: Narration in exhibits; Behind-the-scenes visit
Eco-Adventure Discovery
Participate in ecological surveys to recognise Hong Kong‘s common plants, animals, and symbiotic relationships, inspiring teachers to extend nature education into school curricula and enrich children’s exploratory learning experiences
Explore Rainforest to learn about rainforest animals, connecting local and global climate change perspectives, and incorporating SDGs environmental concepts into kindergarten daily teaching
