Ocean Park x Spartan Fun Academy

This May, an exhilarating outdoor experience Ocean Park x Spartan Fun Academy will be unfolded at Ocean Park with a series of exciting obstacles that challenge kids to go beyond their limits. They will learn how to overcome obstacles against all odds with endurance and perseverance just like the fearless Spartan warriors.

This ground-breaking collaboration between Ocean Park and international brand Spartan has brought a number of obstacles into the park’s Summit area. Led by certified trainers from Spartan, kids get to unleash their full potentials while getting sweaty whilst having a lot of fun! Remember to get the training dairy and collect a stamp after finish training at each spot. After completing  all trainings, you can get a discount code at Thrill Mountain training spots to enjoy 20% off on the first-ever Spartan Kids Race to win the honour of “Little SPARTAN”.

Sandbag Over Shoulder training spot

Sandbag Over Shoulder training spot

Ability to be trained for little Spartan: Full body strength
Participant needs to squat down and grip the sandbag strap, then lift the sandbag by driving up with the strength of legs. Drive a knee to support the weight and swing the sandbag over shoulder.
Balance Beam training spot

Balance Beam training spot

Ability to be trained for little Spartan: Balance, concentration
Participant needs to traverse through the obstacle without making contact with the ground or using any external support.
Wall Ball training spot

Ability to be trained for little Spartan: Physical fitness
Participant needs to choose the appropriately weighted wall ball, stand in front of the wall, then toss the ball at a vertical target and catch the ball after it bounces.
Plate Drag training spot

Ability to be trained for little Spartan: Upper body strength
Participant needs to pull the weight until it touches the red line, then pull the weight back to its starting position to ensure that the rope is straightened.
Spider Web training spot

Ability to be trained for little Spartan: Agility
Participant needs to traverse from one side of the ropes to the other as quick as possible.
Spear Throw training spot

Ability to be trained for little Spartan: Skill
Participant needs to throw the spear to the corresponding target and must be able to hit the Spartan logo. 
Kids Tunnels training spot

Ability to be trained for little Spartan: Courage
Participant needs to traverse from one side of the tunnel to the other without leaving behind any item within the obstacle.
Burpees challenge spot

Ability to be trained for little Spartan: Physical fitness, endurance, cardiopulmonary function
Participant needs to finish 10 reps of burpees.

    Important notes:

    1. Participants can join any activity among all training spots.
    2. Each session can accommodate 12 children aged above 4 years old. Children aged 4 to 11 years old must be accompanied by a parent to participate in this activity. The duration of each session is around 20 minutes.
    3. Participants who are suffering from heart disease, high blood pressure, epilepsy and physical discomfort or affected by drugs are not recommended to participate in this activity.
    4. Participants must wear face masks all the time and use hand sanitizer to clean their hands before and after the activity.
    5. Participants must conduct the activity under the guidance of trainers. During the activity, participants must follow trainers’ guidance, and do not carry out the activity without trainers’ guidance; if there is any discomfort, participants should immediately report to the trainers to avoid accidents.
    6. Participants should wear proper sportswear and sports shoes in the activity. Please remove all loose objects in the activity.
    7. Participants should get the session time card at the training spots. Quota will be reserved on a first-come-first-served basis.
    8. Please wait at line up area of training spots 10 minutes in advance of the selected session and present the session time card to our staff. Please attend the activity on time. The vacancy of absentees or latecomers would be filled up by the standby participants.
    9. In unstable weather conditions, Ocean Park reserves the right to change the activity time or cancel the activity for safety’s reason without prior notice.
