Calling all young creators, and bright explorers, Behind the Engines 101 is back! This winter, prepare to embark on a mysterious adventure again!

Ocean Park has designed an exciting mechanical adventure for future innovators aged 9 to 11. Participants will visit the behind-the-scenes areas of the cable cars and the Hair Raiser Roller Coaster to observe the essential daily maintenance routines. Additionally, they will explore the retired Dragon Roller Coaster Ride, reminiscing about its thrilling moments from the past.

The Behind the Engines 101 participants will also apply their physics knowledge in group experiments, working collaboratively with other teammates. While putting their learning into practice, they will develop team-building skills and foster a spirit of curiosity and discovery!

  • Visit the cable car workshop and observe the intricate operations behind its functionality.

  • Explore the behind-the-scenes maintenance work of the Hair Raiser roller coaster

  • Take a guided tour of the retired Dragon Roller Coaster, led by a Whiskers Villager

  • Enjoy the ride in the Park

  • Collaborate with teammates to complete physics experiments, fostering teamwork and group spirit

  • Each transaction can only purchase up to one programme ticket for the same session.

  • Enrolment will be postponed for 1 day if the following circumstances occur at 12:00nn:

    • Tropical Cyclone Signal Number 8 or above is issued by the Hong Kong Observatory

    • Black Rainstorm Warning is issued by the Hong Kong Observatory.

  • The selected programme code, date, time, meal’s selection (if applicable), and participant’s information and email cannot be changed or rescheduled. All payments made are non-refundable and non-transferrable. Please make sure the programme dates fit in participant’s schedule before enrolment.

  • Parents will receive a confirmation letter via email once the payment has been received. Please pay attention to the spam or junk mailboxes of your email account.
